CANDIDATES FOR TRUSTEE ELECTION

PROPOSED BY: Jamie Francis WM124
SECONDED BY: John Dye WM254
STATEMENT FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
Hi
For those that don’t know me, I have been part of this group since its start up many years ago.
I have worked through all positions in West Midlands from Responder to Trustee.
With my experience, I do believe that I have what is needed to help the group move forward into the next phase and beyond.
For any member who wishes to speak to me, please feel free to PM me or ring me on 07979442881.
I look forward to working with you all.

SECONDED BY: James Lewis WM099
STATEMENT FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
Iv now been a member of 4×4 response for 7 years, and in that time I have seen alot of changes. I now feel I have the experience and knowledge to take on more of a leadership role within the group. I feel like I would be well suited for the role of trustee.
The skills I have that would make me a effective trustee are:
Work well as part of a team
I think quite logically and have good problem-solving skills.
I communicate well and listen to the views of others.
I would like to work together with the other trustees and the group members to move the group forward in a positive way. I think the group has a real potential to be a strong community who work together to help others. 4×4 response has become a part of my life and i hope that I have the opportunity to be considered for this position

SECONDED BY: Craig Smith WM152
STATEMENT FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
The organisation is in a predicament. There has been limited progress as of recent and the group has moved away from it’s core family orientated, close knit structure and has become a cold militarised organisation. With myself as a trustee, I would endeavour to return the group to a position where members are friends, responders can rely upon one another when needed, regular social activities happen and the appropriate training is in place. To enable this, close oversight across the different teams would be required to ensure that the leadership and squads are all working together towards the shared goal. Eliminating any weak processes in favour of robust ways of working to ensure the efficiency of the organisation will be paramount in this. It won’t be an easy task, but listening to the members, understanding what the members want the organisation to be and including the members in decision making will help turn the organisation around and set us on the road to success once again.

STATEMENT FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
I am a fairly new member of this group, and I would be interested in putting myself forward for the position of Trustee. I have the skill set to inject into the group to be able to take it to where it needs to be, along with the other Trustees.
I am outgoing and very ambitious with a level head. I will give the position what it needs and will strive my best to achieve the level the group needs to be at.

PROPOSED BY: David Miller WM256
SECONDED BY: Lee Scrivens WM240
STATEMENT FOR MY CONSIDERATION:
I have been a memeber of the group for over 5 years.
And I am currently training lead. I thinks their is alot to do do build on the great work of those trustees and leadership team who have become before.
Most importantly we need to find a way to support are memebers in engaging with the charities activities. I am a firm beliver that we can do this through organising high level training events for those memebers who are actively supporting the charity. And offering those not supporting other options to remain connected through informal training and social events.
Whilst the financial boost of recent years has given us some breathing room we need to find a way to make sure that our activities are sustainable in the long term.
